2025 Summer Camps - Summer 2025

Summer Camp includes soccer and futsal training, fun scrimmage games and weekly special events. Kids are taught in a fun and positive environment. Campers are placed in age-appropriate groups for the daily activities. 

 What campers should bring to camp each day:

A water bottle, a snack, soccer cleats (if your child has them-they are not mandatory) and flat soled futsal shoes or regular sneakers.

June 9-13

July 21-25

August 4-8

Time: 9:00 am-12:00 pm

Location: All camps are held at Golden Hill Recreation Center

Sign up for 1 day or all week

Ages: 5-15 years old 

2025 Birney August Soccer Camp - Summer 2025

Camp includes fun daily skill building soccer activities. All skill levels welcome grades 1-5. 

Session 1: August 11-14

Time: Monday, Tuesday 1:15-4:40 pm, Wednesday 1:15-3:40 pm and Thursday 3:20-4:40 pm

Session 2: August 18-21

Time: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 3:20-4:40 pm and Wednesday 1:15-3:40 pm

Session 3: August 25-28

Time: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 3:20-4:40 pm and Wednesday 1:15-3:40 pm

Location: Birney Elementary Grass Field

What campers should bring to camp each day:

A large water bottle or 2 small ones, a snack and sunscreen. Campers should wear closed toed shoes. We provide the soccer balls and equipment.  

2025-26 Soccer Class at Birney Elementary - Annual 2025

This is a great opportunity for your child to have fun learning and improving their skills. Class includes fun daily soccer activities, scrimmage games and a SKA soccer jersey. Kids will be placed in age-appropriate groups. All skill levels welcome.

Ages: Kinder-5th grade

Dates: September 3-May 27 (except days school is out for holidays)

Time: 1:15-2:15 pm, 2:20-3:40 pm sign up for a 1-hour session or both hours

Location: Birney Elementary Outdoor Field

What players should bring each day:

A large water bottle, sneakers (no open toed shoes) and their SKA soccer jersey

2025 Summer Futsal Fridays - Summer 2025

Join SKA on Fridays at Municipal Indoor Gym in Balboa Park. Futsal is a great way for kids to have fun improving their skills. This program includes weekly futsal games for 10 weeks beginning June 20. We accept individual players and teams. Deadline to register is June 6. After the deadline you are not guaranteed to play as space fill quickly.

What players should bring each day:

A large water bottle, flat-soled futsal shoes or regular sneakers and shin guards. 

Ages: Divisions for 7 years old to middle school

Dates: 10 week session held Fridays beginning June 27 (no games July 4)

Cost: $175

2025 Futsal Juniors Fall Session - Fall 2025

This program is a great introduction to futsal and learning the basic skills of the game for our younger players ages 5-7 years old. Games are held Fridays beginning October 3 at Municipal Indoor Gym in Balboa Park. There are two 15-minute halves. The session is 8 weeks long. Shin guards are required and athletic shoes or flat soled indoor soccer/futsal shoes. All participants also receive an award medal.
